Lane Savadove
(Artistic Director) has been directing
and teaching nationally and internationally for over 15 years. Savadove is a
Drama League Directing Fellow, a Presidential Fellow, a Shubert Fellow, and was
the first director to receive the prestigious Henry Luce Fellowship.
He holds a
MFA in Directing from Columbia University, his B.A. in theater from Haverford
College. In 1991, Savadove founded the award winning repertory company, EgoPo
Productions, and continues as its Artistic Director. From 1995-96, he served as
the Resident Director of the National Cultural Center of Indonesia. His work
includes over 35 productions, 20 of them World Premiers. His awards include:
“Best Show of 2000” by Backstage,
“Pick of the Year” by The Village Voice, 8 Louisiana Theater Festival
Awards, and over a dozen nominations for the Stoorer Boone and Big Easy Awards
in New Orleans. His first show after relocating to Philadelphia following
Katrina, Spring Awakening, performed at the Adrienne received a Barrymore
Nomination for “Outstanding Ensemble for a Play”. Lane has served on the
faculties of NYU, Loyola University, Rutgers, Rider and is now an Assistant
Professor at Rowan. Lane has been training the actors of EgoPo for 15 years and
is considered one of the nation’s top teachers and developers of Viewpoints
technique.
Megan Hoke’s (Associate Artistic Director)
acting credits include Keystone Repertory Company, Wandering Rom, Gemini Theatre
Company, Intrepid, Theater Exile, Flashpoint, Greenlight Productions, Bckseet
Productions, Simpatico Theatre Project, Snowday Productions, Vagabond Acting
Troupe, and the Metropolitan Playhouse in Manhattan. As a teacher Megan has
worked at Footlight Players, Kerr Elementary. Megan is a founding member of
Wandering Rom and currently works as the General Manager of a multi-business
company in Midtown Village. She holds her BA in theater from Indiana University
of Pennsylvania.
Doug Greene (Associate Producer)
has performed locally with Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival, City Theater
Company, Delaware Theater Company, Wandering Rom, Theatre Ariel, Philadelphia
Live Arts Festival, Snowday Productions, Irish repertory of Philadelphia,
Madhouse, Philadelphia Dramatist Moritz in EgoPo’s Spring Awakening . As
a teaching artist he has taught acting at elementary and secondary schools
throughout the city. He served as General Manager of Vagabond from 2005-2006
and currently serves on the SPARK committee for the Theatre Alliance of Greater
Philadelphia and is the associate artistic director of Vagabond. He is a
graduate of the theater program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Brenna Geffers (Literary
Manager) is a founding member of the
Wandering Rom Players for whom she has directed 9 productions in Philadelphia,
Pittsburgh and New York City. She has directed for Theater Exile, Vagabond
Acting Troupe, Green Light Theatrical Productions, The Brick Playhouse and
Metropolitan Playhouse in NYC. She has assistant directed at The Arden, the
Wilma and New Paradise Laboratories, among others. She is earning her MFA in
Directing at Temple University. Brenna has served as Company Manager for the
Open Stage Theater and is the artistic assistant at Theatre Exile.
Ralph Mullen (Production Manager) has
performed for Wandering Rom, Langhorne Players, Playmasters and The Hanover
Street Theatre. As a technician and designer, Ralph has worked at The Utah
Shakespeare Festival, Pennsylvania Center Stage, Sesame Street Live, 1-2-3
Imagine, the first national tours of The Producers, Gypsy, Hot and Sweet and
Bombay Dreams on Broadway. Ralph worked as the props designer and stage
manager for EgoPo’s SPRING AWAKENING. He is a graduate of the theater program at
Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Colleen Hughes (Assistant to the Artistic Director)
has appeared locally at The Wilma Theater, Enchantment Theatre Company, Lantern
Theater Company, Wandering Rom, Greenlight Productions, The Brick Playhouse, The
Academy Theatre and Philadelphia Theatre Workshop. In Ireland Colleen was in the
original cast of Michael West’s An American Wake and starred in a music
video for the Dublin–based band The Immediate. Colleen is a graduate of New York
University’s Tisch School for the Arts. Colleen has spent the last two years as
the Office Manager of Arionda LLC, a wireless consulting firm based in Southern
New Jersey.
Sarah Schol (Director of External Relations)
is a recent graduate of Hamilton College with a BA in Theatre. For EgoPo’s
Spring Awakening, Sarah served as box office manager. Sarah is currently
the Subscriptions Apprentice at the Walnut Street Theatre, where she sells and
maintains subscriptions for over 50,000 people.
